At the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference, President Trump argued that America’s greatness depends on faith in God. Celebrating what he called a spiritual revival, he said “religion is back in our country” and growing stronger across the nation.
Trump emphasized that faith is essential to national success, declaring, “To be a great nation, you have to have religion and you have to have God in your nation. If you don’t have that, it just doesn’t seem to work out.” He added, “We have religion and we have God now.”
Pointing to American history, he said faith has shaped the nation since its founding, from the settlers at Jamestown to the Declaration of Independence. He also praised the recent rededication of America as “one nation under God” and urged Americans to protect religious liberty and the nation’s spiritual heritage.
Trump concluded that America’s future strength, freedom, and prosperity depend on keeping God at the center of national life, pointing to the enduring motto “In God We Trust.”
