Donald Trump has said Iran has 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz before “all Hell will reign down on them”.

Writing on Truth Social, he said: “Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them. Glory be to GOD! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

The vital waterway was closed by Iran in the wake of the US-Israeli attacks, with only Iranian ships and a few other vessels permitted to pass through, leading to skyrocketing oil prices.
