The Trump defense contractors meeting took place Friday at the White House. President Donald Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth attended the session.

The meeting included CEOs from several major defense companies. The discussion focused on expanding production of advanced weapons.

Trump Defense Contractors Meeting Focuses on Weapons Production

Trump said the companies agreed to increase manufacturing levels. He wrote about the agreement on Truth Social.

He said companies will quadruple production of “exquisite class” weapons. Trump did not explain the exact meaning of the term.

Weapons Systems Discussed During Trump Defense Contractors Meeting

Bloomberg reported the phrase likely refers to advanced precision missiles. These weapons are difficult to manufacture.

Examples include Standard Missile 6 and Tomahawk missiles. The Patriot interceptor MSE was also mentioned.

Companies Attending Trump Defense Contractors Meeting

Executives from BAE Systems, Boeing, and Honeywell Aerospace attended the meeting. Leaders from L3Harris Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and RTX also joined.

Trump said the executives will meet with him again in two months. He said production expansion had already started before the meeting.

Defense Production During Operation Epic Fury

Earlier this year, the Pentagon reached agreements with Lockheed Martin and RTX. The deals aim to increase production of several weapons systems.

These include Patriot air defense missiles and the THAAD missile defense system. Standard missiles are also part of the expansion.

Operation Goals Discussed After Trump Defense Contractors Meeting

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the meeting was planned earlier. It occurred before Operation Epic Fury began on Feb. 28.

Leavitt said the United States has enough weapons stockpiles. She added the operation may last four to six weeks.
